🤝 Built for parents & advocates

The IEP system is complex.
Parents are left to navigate it alone.

Every year, millions of parents sit across the table from trained professionals — without the knowledge, documents or confidence to advocate effectively for their child.

Parent overwhelmed reading IEP documents

😰 "I don't understand my rights."

The IEP process involves federal law, strict deadlines and district procedures most parents have never encountered. Advocates and attorneys cost hundreds of dollars per hour — money most families simply don't have.

📋 "I can't keep track of everything."

Annual reviews, triennial evaluations, 60-day deadlines, meeting notes, progress reports, school communications... The paperwork is relentless, and the stakes are high when something falls through the cracks.

🌐 "Everything is in English only."

For millions of Spanish-speaking families navigating the US special education system, the language barrier adds an extra layer of difficulty to an already overwhelming process. Every tool, every form — English only.

👨‍👩‍👧 For parents

The first IEP platform built for Spanish-speaking families — for real.

Not a Google Translate button. Not a toggle that breaks half the features. IEP Desk was built bilingual from day one — every module, every AI-generated document, every reference to the law.

When a parent generates a formal letter, they receive two complete versions: English to send to the district, Spanish to understand exactly what they're sending.

Your child's information is
not a product. It never will be.

IEP documents contain some of the most sensitive information about your child. We treat that with the seriousness it deserves.

🏛️

Enterprise-grade infrastructure

IEP Desk is built on Supabase — the database platform trusted by Fortune 500 companies. Your data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3. Not a promise. Architecture.

🔐

Row-Level Security (RLS)

Our database uses Row-Level Security, making it technically impossible for one user to access another's data — even in the event of an application error. Your child's records are yours alone.

🚫

We never sell your data. Period.

We do not sell, share, rent or trade your data with anyone — advertisers, partners, data brokers or any other party. No asterisks. No fine print. No exceptions.

🤖

AI that doesn't learn from you

IEP Desk uses Anthropic's Claude API. Your conversations with our AI are not used to train any AI models. What you share stays in your account and nowhere else.

🗑️

Real deletion, not archiving

When you delete your account, every piece of data is permanently removed — not archived, not anonymized, not retained. Gone completely.

📋

FERPA-aligned practices

Our data practices are aligned with FERPA — the federal law protecting student education records. Your child's history is treated with the rigor it deserves.

Our Family Data Pledge

We believe families who trust us with their most sensitive information deserve more than fine print buried in a privacy policy. Here is our plain-English commitment.

We will never sell, share or monetize your child's data — not now, not after an acquisition, not ever. This is written into how we build the product, not only into a policy document.

🔒

Your documents are stored in a private, encrypted bucket. Signed access URLs expire after one hour. Nobody outside your account can access your files — including us.

🧠

The AI reads your IEP to help you — it does not retain that information between sessions. Each conversation starts fresh. Your child's story belongs to your family.

👁️

You have the right to see everything we hold about you, correct any inaccuracy, and delete your entire account at any time — with no waiting period, no hoops, no questions asked.

Questions parents ask most.

Not at all. IEP Desk was designed for parents — not educators or lawyers. Every feature has a plain-English explanation. If you can use a smartphone, you can use IEP Desk.
No. IEP Desk is your private workspace. The school district has no access to your account, your notes, your diary entries or your documents — unless you choose to send them something directly from the app.
No, and we're transparent about that. Every AI response includes a disclaimer that it is informational, not legal advice. Our AI is designed to help you understand the law clearly — so when you do need an attorney, you arrive informed. For formal disputes, we strongly recommend consulting a special education attorney.
Your data stays exactly where it is. When beta ends, you'll be notified in advance and offered a special founding member price to continue. If you choose not to continue, you'll have time to export your complete history as a PDF before your account closes.
Yes. IEP Desk supports both IEPs and 504 Plans. The document generator includes letters specific to 504 situations, the rights module covers Section 504 in depth, and the AI assistant answers questions about both frameworks.
Yes — and it's one of the most powerful features in v1.1. From My Child, you enter your advocate's email. If they already have an IEP Desk account, access activates immediately. If not, they receive an invitation to create a free advocate account. You choose exactly which modules to share, and you can revoke or adjust access at any time.
Yes — fully bilingual from the ground up. You can switch the entire interface to Spanish, and every AI-generated document is produced in both English and Spanish simultaneously. The English version goes to the district; the Spanish version is your reference.

Your child deserves the best advocate they can have.
That's you.

IEP Desk gives you the knowledge, the tools and the confidence to walk into every IEP meeting ready to fight for what your child needs.
